Mining work with the world's first full direct gearing ranging arm is completed on July 11, 2014

Fully mechanized mining with a seven-meter mining height at Shendong Coal Group's Daliuta coal mine became a reality on July 11, 2014. During the mining, the world's first full direct gearing ranging arm was used.

The machine was developed by China Shenhua Energy Company Limited, which was later merged into China Energy Investment Corporation.

The machine would gradually replace the imported transmission rocker arm.

BJ-2 satellite system launched on July 11, 2015

The BJ-2 high resolution remote sensing satellite system, China's first commercial remote sensing satellite system for civil use, was launched on July 11, 2015.

The launch was carried out by Twenty First Century Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Development & Investment Corp., Ltd.

The first of its kind authorized by the government, the BJ-2 system is listed in national civil space infrastructure planning.

The system contains three satellites and is able to provide remote satellite data and terrestrial information with high spatial and time resolution.

The information is widely used in fields like management of land and resources, agricultural resource surveys, monitoring of ecological environments and comprehensive urban applications.

CRH6F, China's first 160km/h intercity electric multiple unit (EMU) train, started test operation between Nanning and Beihai in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on July 11, 2015.

Developed by CRRC Corporation Limited, the train is a new-type fast track specially designed for urbanization and transportation integration.

The train, titled "railway bus", mainly serves commuters and allows passengers to arrive at their destination, whether residential or job-related, within an hour.

It has many advantages like high speed, large passenger capacity and short stop times, which cater to intercity transportation features such as frequent stops and short distances between stations.
