China's first domestic satellite communication network is completed on July 8, 1986

China's first domestic satellite communication network was completed on July 8, 1986, which was a major step forward in the country's modern communication industry.

The five communication satellites developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, together with the rented international satellite transponder, have been the backbone of China's domestic satellite communication network since 1984.

The network not only meets the communication needs of remote areas, but also improves flexibility and reliability, two main requirements for long distance communication.

The network plays a significant role in providing national television programs and in promoting information exchange and economic growth throughout the country.
