The Environmental Energy Conservation Center of Tsinghua University is launched on July 6, 2005

China's first green and energy-conserving building, the Environmental Energy Conservation Center of Tsinghua University, was launched on July 6, 2005.

Contracted by China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, the building is a new type of intelligent and ecological protection office structure integrating teaching, experimental work and scientific research.

Focused on "green, innovation, energy conservation and environmental protection", the building is a low-energy space-enclosing structure  equipped with a smart control system. Only green materials were used in its construction.

It sets a model of "green architecture" for buildings in the same era and is a platform to show the potential of China's carbon dioxide emission reduction program.

China's Y-20:  part of the PLAAF since July 6, 2016

The Y-20, the first large-scale transport aircraft independently developed by China, entered military service on July 6, 2016, providing long-range mobility and strategic projection capability to the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

Generally developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd, the Y-20 is China's first 200-ton level large-scale multi-role transport aircraft.

It took only half of the development time of the same kind of aircraft created by other countries, which set a world record.

Thousands of Chinese enterprises participated in the development of the Y-20, the first time so many companies had worked together on one piece of aviation equipment. However, the large number of participating enterprises also made it difficult to unify the manufacturing criteria.

The independently developed large-scale aircraft is an indispensable part of national security and plays a significant role in driving national economic growth, promoting scientific and technological advancement and realizing modernization of national defense.
