A meeting for the founding of the Railway Engineering Corps, the predecessor of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC), was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province on July 5, 1948.
After several changes, the Railway Engineering Corps was re-organized and was brought under the management of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).
During the Chinese People's War of Liberation, the Railway Engineering Corps built railways wherever combat required.
The corps also constructed a solid steel and iron transport line during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-53).
Today, CRCC ranks among the top 500 global enterprises for 13 consecutive years. Its business covers engineering contracting, survey and design consulting, real estate, investment services, equipment manufacturing, material logistics, financial services and emerging industries.

Manufactured by China Electronic Technology Group Corporation (CETC), the ship is able to conduct tests for devices such as radars, drones, unmanned boats and other equipment, as well as work in underwater sound and meteorological exploration.
It is used for testing various electronic devices in China's sea areas, and it can also satisfy various needs of the transportation of experimental equipment and scientific research personnel as well as material replenishment on islands.
The ship has overcome many shortcomings such as poor performances by electronic equipment, slow data processing and long test period requirements.
