Construction of the China-Russia East-Route Natural Gas Pipeline started on June 29, 2015.

The trans-border natural gas pipeline project was an important strategic step in global natural gas cooperation, and created the largest single pipe through-put in the world.

The natural gas transmission pipeline has the largest diameter, highest pressure and greatest length of any in China.

The Chinese section of the project is 3,371 kilometers, crossing nine provincial regions.

The No. 1 unit of Taishan Nuclear Power Plant was connected to the grid and started generating electricity on June 29, 2018.

It is the first operational third generation EPR nuclear power unit in the world connected to the grid.

Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is the largest joint energy project of China and France and was invested by China General Nuclear Power Corporation, France EDF Group and Guangdong Energy Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Guangdong Yudean Group Co., Ltd.).

During the construction of the world's third generation nuclear power solution, Taishan Nuclear Power Plant passed cold testing thanks to nearly 30 years of experience, which promoted China's nuclear power industry to "go global".

The first phase of the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant helps save about 8.42 million tons of standard coal per year, which eliminates about 20.7 million tons of green house gas emissions.

The environmental protection effect equals planting of a 56,000-hectare forest.
