China's uranium enrichment technology in its nuclear industry realizes self-development and industrialization on June 21, 2013

China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) succeeded in applying self-developed and industrialized uranium enrichment technology at the Gansu Uranium Enrichment Base on June 21, 2013.

The achievement confirmed that China's capacity to produce nuclear fuel can meet the needs of the development of its nuclear power and that the country has reached an international competitiveness.

The centrifugal machine for uranium enrichment is a key technology of nuclear fuel production and a main index to measure the level of a nation's nuclear technology. It plays a significant role in guaranteeing national energy safety and sustainable development.

The progress in uranium enrichment technology is a third milestone in China's nuclear industry after the development of the A and H-bombs and nuclear-powered submarines and the construction of Qinshan Nuclear Plant.

Technical Standards for Concrete Structures of Nuclear Power Plants was submitted for approval on June 21, 2018.

Meanwhile, the standard is also China's first of its kind and has significant construction values. It also laid a foundation for the export of China's nuclear power industry.
