Two sides of the Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge are connected on June 16, 2017

On June 16, 2017 the two sides of the Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge invested and constructed by China Communications Construction Company, were successfully connected, laying the foundation for the opening of the bridge this year.

The total length of the project is about 8.6 kilometers. It is the ninth bridge over Yangtze River in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

The cross-river bridge is a steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with double pylons and double cable planes, with a total length of 1,510 meters, a main span of 760 meters and a bridge deck width of 46 meters. It is the widest bridge on the Yangtze River.

Due to the diverse structural components and complex construction techniques used in it, the bridge is called a "Bridge Craft Museum" by bridge experts.
