China Datang Corporation in Full Swing in Poverty-Alleviation

China Datang Corporation Ltd. is devoted to poverty alleviation in Dahua Yao autonomous county in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

As the year 2020 is crucial in winning the anti-poverty battle, the company has accelerated application of government approvals of poverty-alleviation projects and scientifically allocated funds to guarantee their highly-efficient implementation.

The county has a typical karst landscape with mountains and rocks and lacks water and soil. The landform makes the region an extremely poor county.

China Datang Corporation Ltd. has invested 10 million yuan ($1.41 million) in the clean drinking water project as well as renovation of old houses and household water tank construction so far this year.

Industries have also been promoted in the villages. For example, the company built an entrepreneurship park in Dahua, which created jobs for local residents from poverty-stricken families.

Another 200,000 yuan were also invested in training courses on the skills needed to breed goats, sheep and cattle as well as to process feed.

Infrastructure construction must be mentioned. Village roads are now under construction as are clinics, and facilities for garbage sorting as well as waste water and livestock excrement treatment are already in operation.
