First JL-9, or FTC-2000, for export is completed on June 5, 2017

The first JL-9, or FTC-2000, for export was completed on June 5, 2017.

Independently developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd, the JL-9 is a light all-weather supersonic advanced training plane with a single engine and a tandem double-seat cabin.

It can be used in missions like basic air fighting and tactical training and is able to participate in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.

The first export of a JL-9 adds to the types of planes China's exports and improves the impact of JL-9 which is a main achievement of China's international aviation industry.

Fengyun-2H weather satellite launched on June 5, 2018

Fengyu-2H, the last of China's first generation geo-stationary satellites, was launched on June 5, 2018.

Generally developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd, the satellite works with the Fengyun-2E, Fengyun-2F and Fengyun-2G to guarantee continuous service between first and second generation geo-stationary satellites.

Fengyun-2H improves monitoring of the upstream of China's weather system and at the same time offers monitoring of weather broadcasts and disaster prevention for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and member countries of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization.
