Mining and exploration with the China-developed automatic control system realized normalization on May 19, 2018
Mining and exploration with the China-developed automatic control system realized normalization on May 19, 2018, bringing China's coal industry into the "unmanned mining era".
The system, developed by China Coal Technology & Engineering Group Corp (CCTEG), was operating stably and producing a maximum of 170,000 tons of coal per month. It is the first unmanned system in the industry and guarantees safety during mining.
Unmanned mining is a trend of the world's coal industry and is desperately needed for safe and efficient production. China has become a leader in this area.
China achieves breakthroughs in silicon carbide crystal technology on May 19, 2017
The carborundum industrialization project initiated by China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI) started on May 19, 2017.
The project enabled China to achieve breakthroughs in mass development of high-quality silicon carbide crystal production.
With the development of carborundum industrialization, China will get rid of its reliance on foreign silicon carbide semiconductor substrates.
The China-made silicon carbide products will be used in many fields like telecommunications, high-speed trains and new energy vehicles and the third generation of semiconductor components, which will lower production costs.
China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline goes into operation on May 19, 2017
The China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline went into service on May 19, 2017 and will play a key role in China's realizing crude import diversification and lowering transportation risks and costs.
Compared to the route through the Malacca Strait, the China-Myanmar crude pipeline is 1,820 sea miles shorter.
It was the fourth energy importing route after the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, the China-Russia crude oil pipeline and the Chinese maritime LNG import project.
The pipeline is separately operated by two companies - the section in Myanmar is under operation of a China-Myanmar joint venture company and China National Petroleum Corporation is in charge of the section in China.
Being a China-Myanmar cooperative project along the Belt and Road, the crude oil pipeline project is a model for win-win and mutually beneficial internationalization.
