CSG Resumes Poverty-Alleviation Projects amid Pandemic

China South Power Grid (CSG) had resumed 763 of its poverty-alleviation projects by April 29 while maintaining good prevention and control of COVID-19.

The company intends to complete all its 874 poverty-alleviation projects by the end of June.

At present, CSG is accelerating bidding and signing procedures and promoting consumption of agricultural products to help move goods made unsalable by the pandemic.

So far, the company has purchased agricultural goods valued at 4.04 million yuan ($569,358.91) since the beginning of 2020 and helped sell of 556,700 yuan worth of agricultural products.

CSG will encourage its subsidiaries to sign long-term purchase contracts with precise poverty alleviation areas and help develop sales channels for their products.

In addition, the company will continue to support local industrial development to guarantee stable long-term income for poverty-stricken households and villages.
