China's first comprehensive multi-role super-high building is capped on April 30, 1984
The main body frame of the Shenzhen International Trade Center, the first comprehensive multi-role super-high building in China, was completed on April 30, 1984.
The building was the first of its kind in China and was an iconic structure for the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and China's Reform and Opening-up strategy.
The building adopted the slide model during the construction and was built at a fast speed with one floor completed every three days.
It was selected into the third batch of China's 20th century architectural heritage projects on Nov 24, 2018.
