The world's heaviest hydrogenation reactor is produced and made ready for shipping on April 28, 2018

The world's heaviest hydrogenation reactor was completed on April 28, 2018.

The reactor, developed by China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd, weighs 2,400 tons and is more than 70 meters' long. Its weight and complicated manufacturing requirements had set several world records. It was also the heaviest piece of equipment ever transported along the Yangtze River.

The hydrogenation reactor was to be used in transforming residuum into light oil to produce gasoline and diesel oil.

The generator was a main project in improving China's oil refining quality and played a role in guaranteeing the country's national energy security.
