China's first cargo spacecraft, Tianzhou 1, successfully docked with the country's Tiangong 2 space lab on April 22, 2017.
It was the first time the space lab had docked with a cargo space craft since its launch. After joining together the two parts smoothly completed the first test of in-orbit propellant replenishing.
The success of the test made China the third country in the world with the technology necessary for refueling while in orbit.
