The predecessor of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. is established on April 17, 1951

A decision on aviation industry construction was released on April 17, 1951. Later, China Aviation Industry Corporation I and China Aviation Industry Corporation II merged into Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC).

Over the past over 60 years, AVIC has formed a high-tech industrial system of developing advanced modern aeronautic equipment, which includes scientific development research, experimentation and manufacturing.

All types of aircraft for different uses, engines and thousands of other products for civil use and export were developed by the company, which promotes the modernization of national defense and contributes to China's economic growth and scientific and technological development.
