Guanjiao Tunnel along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway was completed on April 15, 2014.

The 32-km tunnel, at an altitude of 3,600 meters, is not only China's longest railway tunnel but also the first super long tunnel at such a high altitude in the world.

It was constructed by China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) and won the highest award in the international tunneling field.

During its seven-year construction period, more than a hundred thousand people participated in the project, the largest number of workers on a tunnel project ever in China.

The most advanced large-scale LNG carrier in China goes into service on April 15, 2016

The most advanced large-scale LNG carrier in China, Pan Asia, went into service on April 15, 2016.

The carrier, developed independently by China, was an important step towards the goal of transporting Chinese goods with China-made ships set by Chinese central SOEs such as China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), China Merchants Group (CMG) and China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING).

Traveling along the Maritime Silk Road, Pan Asia sails between domestic ports and China's first overseas international-level LNG manufacturing base at Curtis Island. It carries back 1.5 million tons of clean energy to China annually.

The manufacturing of the carrier was the first time China was engaged in the whole industrial chain of an overseas LNG project.
