The 5,200-meter Qomolangma Base Camp got access to electricity as a 10 kV power supply line was completed on April 12, 2014.
The line runs through 21 villages and brings stable electricity to 1,011 households and the world's highest-altitude temple.
The project by the State Grid Corporation of China was aimed at giving electricity to all households along the line's route.
Its program of electric power construction and transformation has solved the problem of domestic illumination for some local farmers and herdsmen in the Tibet autonomous region.
The project has also improved people's living standards, promoted economic growth in agricultural and pastoral areas and guaranteed stable and sufficient power supply for scientific observation of Qomolangma.

Construction of the Ethiopian Airlines Maintenance and Painting Hangar is completed at Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, on April 12, 2017.
Contracted by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd (AVIC), the hangar is the largest and the only hangar integrating painting and maintenance in Africa.
All types of airplanes can be maintained and painted at the hangar and planes of other African countries can also enjoy maintenance service there.
The hangar ensures the leading situation of Ethiopian Airlines in Africa, bringing the company profit and improving its brand value.
