The world's largest equipment for petrochemical technology is completed on April 11, 2018

The Zhenhai fluidized bed hydrogenation reactor for residuum forge welding, which was manufactured by China First Heavy Industries (CFHI), was completed and ready to dispatch on April 11, 2018.

It is the largest piece of equipment in the petrochemical industry in the world.

With a diameter of nearly five meters, the 2,400-ton reactor is a core equipment of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company and plays a key role in realizing the company's goal of improving the quality of 2.6 million tons of petrol annually.

The completion of the reactor is a milestone in China's experience in developing and manufacturing a super-large forge welding hydrogenation reactor.

The equipment also is a sign that China has gained the capacity to increase and balance petrol import sources.
