CMC Contributes to Kazakhstan's Automobile Manufacturing

Updated: 2020-04-08

A ceremony was held by Allur Group in Kazakhstan on March 28 to announce launch of its new production line.

How the production line was developed was outlined at the ceremony.

China National Machinery Imp. & Exp. Corp. (CMC), a subsidiary of China General Technology (Genertec), signed a contract valued at $17.5 million to export manufacturing facilities for automobile painting and welding to Allur Group in 2016.

Now that the line is operational, Allur Group will be able to manufacture more types of automobiles with high efficiency, which will increase the company's market share of Kazakhstan's automobile exports and promote the country's automotive process to leapfrog from the direct knocked-down (DKD) mode to the completely knocked-down (CKD) mode.

Allur Group has made work plans to maintain production amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company will continue to advance docking of China's BRI and Kazakhstan's Bright Path economic policy and contribute to China-Kazakhstan industrial cooperation and Kazakhstan's automobile industry.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin attended the ceremony.
