CGGC Ramps up to Resume Operation

China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), headquartered in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, recently ramps up to production resumption to guarantee stable and high-output in its industrial projects.

Major projects resume construction

Pillars guaranteeing the national economy and livelihood, the company's major projects play significant roles in promoting economic and social development.

Contracted by China Gezhouba Group Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd., the Hanjiang River Yakou shipping hub project in Xiangyang of Hubei resumed work on March 16.

By March 21, 192 workers had returned to their positions. The sand stocking yard and the mixing station are now in normal operation.

The generator unit renovation of Shuibuya Hydroelectric Project in Enshi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture, contracted by China Gezhouba Group Mechanical & Electrical Construction Co., Ltd., is progressing. 

Assembly of the generator's stators and the rotors of the No. 3 unit was underway on March 22.

According to the project's deputy manager, 95 percent of the project's builders have returned to their positions and it is expected that the reassembly of the unit will be completed on May 15 which will lay a solid foundation for future operations.

River-lake connection and water environment treatment projects in Huanggang as well as a housing project in Xiaogan are also proceeding smoothly.

CGGC's data shows that by March 20, 50 of its 122 production units in Hubei had resumed work and another 50 were ready to do so.

Industrial projects keep stable and high output

Industrial production is a key to meeting the raw material needs of major projects. CGGC's concrete and explosive producers are speeding up to guarantee supply and support economic recovery.

Changtai Commercial Explosive of China Gezhouba Group Explosive Co., Ltd. in Yichang, which mainly produces fine chemical products as well as puffing and emulsion explosives, resumed production on March 12.

On the first working day, 15 tons of oil phase product and 11.8 tons of emulsifier were produced. Other fine chemical products resumed production as well. The company fully resumed production on March 20.

In-time supply of fine chemical products is the goal after resumption, especially of macromolecule emulsifier which is a main raw material of all kinds of explosives, said the vice-director of the plant's management department. 

Zhongxiang Company, affiliated to China Gezhouba Group Cement Co., Ltd. resumed work on March 16 and has sold more than 15,000 tons of cement and clinker since then.

By March 21, 13 of 15 subsidiaries of China Gezhouba Group Cement Co., Ltd. in Hubei were approved by the local government to resume production. They delivered about 203,000 tons of cement products in March to several national major construction projects including the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway, Nianpanshan Hydropower Station and the Yakou shipping hub projects.

Service projects support smooth resumption

Industries including highway and water related enterprises also play a role in supporting resumption of production.

The Xiangyang-Jingmen Highway opened a green passage at seven toll stations to speed up people's return to work. 

China Gezhouba Group Water Operation Co., Ltd. in Jingmen helped with waste water treatment.

By March 20, nine water treatment plants had handled 21,000 tons of waste water per day.

Water plants in Huanggang and Danjiangkou also resumed work.
