The first international energy organization launched by China is established on March 29, 2016
The first session of the first council meeting of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) was held in Beijing on March 29, 2016.
Initiated by State Grid Corporation of China, GEIDCO is the first international energy organization launched by China and is also the first organization for cooperation and coordination in global energy interconnection.
Its purpose is to promote establishment of global energy interconnection to meet global power demands in green and clean ways and better serve the sustainable development of human society.
