China Datang Corporation Ltd. became China's first company lists on the London exchange on Mar 24, 1997

China Datang Corporation Ltd. became China's first company listed on the London exchange on Mar 24, 1997.

Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Datang Corporation Ltd. formerly known as Beijing Datang Power Generation Co., Ltd., listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on Mar 24, 1997, the first Chinese company to do so.

The company launched 1.24 billion shares at an issue price of HK$ 2.52 per share. The PE ratio was 11.9 and the company achieved financing of HK$ 3.14 billion.

China General Technology is set up on Mar 24, 1998

China General Technology was set up on Mar 24, 1998 with the approval of the State Council. China General Technology was established on the basis of several companies such as China National Technical Import and Export Corporation, China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation, China National Instruments Import & Export (Group) Corporation and China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation.

The core business of China General Technology is advanced manufacturing, technical service consultation, medical health, trade and project contracting.

China's first large-scale shale gas field discovered in Chongqing's Fuling, the company announced on Mar 24, 2014

China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) discovered China's first large-scale shale gas field in Fuling, a city in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, the company announced on Mar 24, 2014.

The discovery marked a great strategic breakthrough in the country's shale gas exploration and initiated a large-scale commercialized development period for the exploration industry.

The shale gas field in Fuling area would accelerate China's energy structure adjustment and release the supply pressure on the natural gas market in Central and East China. The discovery was also expected to push forward energy conservation and reductions in emissions and atmospheric contamination.
