The world's largest arm rest of a full circle swinging pontoon crane independently designed and constructed by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) finished final assembly on Mar 22, 2014.

The largest ever hoisted by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC), the arm rest is 127 meters in length, 3,200 tons in weight and 93 meters in height. Its final assembly marked the finish of crane section construction.

The main hook of the arm rest can lift 12,000 tons when the frame rests solidly and 7,000 tons in full turn condition.

Being able to work in self-propulsion and non-restricted waters conditions, the pontoon crane is expected to become the world's largest of its kind and support China's salvage industry's expansion to deep sea areas.
