China's self-developed commercial passenger flight using bio-fuel conducts a trial flight on Mar 21, 2015

Flight No HU7604 of Hainan Airlines took off from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport using bio-fuel developed by China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and successfully landed at Beijing Capital International Airport after a two-and-half-hour flight on Mar 21, 2015.

The flight, carrying 156 passengers and eight crew members, marked the successful application of China's self-developed bio-fuel in commercial passenger flight.

Since that flight China has become one of the few countries in the world to have fully commercialized self-developed bio-fuel technology.
