Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Corp. Ltd recently signed a purchase agreement valued at nearly 1 billion yuan ($141.74 million) on providing the NTE360A type electric wheel mine car to Australia-based Warkworth Mining Ltd.
Meeting both ISO and AS standards, the mine car has a load capacity of 330 tons and a total engine power of 2,722 kW. It can operate as fast as 64 kilometers per hour.
Installed with a GE electric drive system, wet-type disc brakes, hydraulic power steering gear and oil-nitrogen hybrid hydropneumatic suspension, the car performs well in lowering noise and can work normally in extreme temperature conditions from minus 40 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees above zero.
In addition, the car is comfortable and safe to drive and has high reliability and low operation cost.
Warkworth Mining Ltd is affiliated to Yancoal – Australia's largest coal production franchise with 11 coal mines.
Yancoal is able to produce 80 million tons of coal annually. Three pairs of its coal wells have annual output of more than 15 million tons, ranking among the top ten mines in the country.
The NTE360A mine cars will be used in development of Yancoal's MTW coal mine and are expected to be shipped and delivered this year. The cars will also be the first China-made ones in the project.
The Australian coal mine market has the highest standards in the world and has strict requirements on any product's quality as well as its procedures, security, operation comfort, reliability and maintenance convenience.
The contract was a breakthrough for Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Corp. Ltd's international development and the first mass export of China-made advanced off-highway mine cars.
Owning the only national engineering research center for mine cars in China, the company is the president enterprise of the China Construction Machinery Association's engineering transport machinery institute and the China Society of Automotive Engineers' mine car institute.
It is also one of the main determiners of China's national mine car standards and one of the country's first 54 demonstration manufacturers.
More than 80 percent of mine cars used in China are made by the company and its business covers 65 countries and regions.
It's worth mentioning that Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Corp. Ltd makes the only unmanned mine car mass produced and adopted in projects in China. Thirty of such cars were delivered in 2019 and are now operating in large-scale iron and steel and coal mines as well as in concrete production.
