Shangwan Coal Mine of China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy), the world's first intelligent very large mining project at a height of 8.8 meters, was put into operation on Mar 19, 2018.
The successful operation, a historic shift in mining equipment and technology development, has filled in a research gap in extra thick seam mining at home and abroad.
The project has also broken several world records such as its installed power reaching 15,842 kilowatt, its mining height reaching 8.8 meters and its total equipment weight amounting to 16,679 tons. The mine also broke another world record for highest daily coal production topping 58,400 tons and highest monthly production of 1.46 million tons.
