China Energy passes examine in its environmental demonstration project on Mar 11, 2015

Yuanyang Lake power plant of China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) passed examine in its environmental demonstration project on Mar 11, 2015, being the first ultra low-emission environmental demonstration power plant in China's central-east regions.

The power plant has upgraded its dust removal, desulfurization and denitration system and waste water disposal system. After the renovation, the power plant would be able to eliminate emission of 1,470 tons of sulfur dioxide, 1,400 tons of oxynitride, 350 tons of smoke and 11,750 tons of carbon dioxide every year. It could save 7,297 tons of coal and 308,000 tons of water annually.

The success of Yuanyang Lake power plant displayed that coal-fired power plants can be as low-emission as natural gas power plants to realize green power generation.
