CECEP Supports Medical Waste Treatment in Hubei

Updated: 2020-03-11

Treatment equipment that can handle five tons of medical waste per day was loaded and delivered to Shiyan in Central China's Hubei province on March 2.

Developed by CECEP Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), the equipment was designated for development on Feb 12.

Completed within two weeks and featuring a thermal pyrolysis room and a highly active oxidation chamber, the equipment reduces production of dioxin and dust.

In addition, the rapid cooling system also prevents re-synthesis of dioxin, ensuring that the flue gas cleaning performance meets requirements.

It will be used in construction of the medical waste emergency treatment project in Yunyang district of Shiyan. Upon completion, all medical waste in the district will be dealt with locally.
