The largest cabin hospital in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province, the epicenter of the COVID-19 epidemic in China, was almost completed on Feb 19.

Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 4 Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), participated in the grid connection of the power distribution cabinets and adjustment of the lighting equipment in No. 13 and 21 cabins.

Located in Jiang'an District, the hospital construction started on Feb 15 with renovation of the original temporary factory.

The hospital, covering 27,500 square meters, features 20 1,188-square meter cabins and holds 3,500 beds.

The plan is to use the hospital only for patients with mild symptoms of the viral infection.

POWERCHINA's technician team arrived at the construction site on Feb 16, the second day after the company received the construction mission.

Within 56 hours the team had installed 1,448-meters of trunking, a 5,820-meter power line, 616 outlets and 184 lights.

In addition, they also helped with construction of board rooms and transport of materials.
