Construction of the first 1 million kW coal-fired power plant in East China's Jiangxi Province starts on Feb 23, 2014

The construction of the two generator units of the Jiangxi Fuzhou Power Plant of China Datang Corporation Ltd began on Feb 23, 2014.

Generally contracted by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group), the project was the first of its kind with an installed capacity of 1 million kW in each generator unit.

The No. 1 generator unit had the shortest construction period for units of that kind in China and had the best domestic performances in coal consumption, power consumption rates and main engine parameters.

When put in operation the generator unit also had the lowest pollutant emission volume which was nearly zero at that time.
