CETC's Major Projects Resume Production

China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) started to resume production in its major projects in February during the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

The BeiDou-3 Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3), contracted by the 54th Research Institute of CETC (CETC54), has entered the operation stage. 

To guarantee safe operation, the company set up a team of more than 60 backbone technicians and a remote technical supporting team to closely monitor the system's operation.

In addition, backups of key systems and devices as well as intelligent maintenance have been prepared and automotive operations adopted to ensure the satellite system is stable during the period of combating the epidemic.

CETC Guoji (South Group) Co., Ltd which presides over a chip supply project of a major national program has also resumed production, testing and assembly of the chips. So far, the project is progressing on schedule.

The company is also responsible for providing the infrared photoelectric shells of a kind of temperature screener. A total of 5,000 shells have been delivered to the buyer.
