To guarantee downstream chemical enterprises' disinfectant production, China SDIC International Trade Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Development & Investment Corp., Ltd. (SDIC), is ramping up raw material imports.

MV IONIC, carrying 55,000 tons of imported industrial salt for the company, arrived at the Panjin Port, Northeast China's Liaoning Province on Feb 12.

The main material of sodium hypochlorite and "84" disinfectant, the salt is also a raw material recommended by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China for production of front-line disinfectant.

To ensure in-time supply, the company set up a special team to trace the shipment in real time and communicate with the ship owner and the freight forwarder.

The team also contacted the customs and the port before the ship arrived to accelerate import procedures.

The industrial salt shipped aboard MV IONIC will be transported to Ynnovate Sanzheng (Yingkou) Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. for front-line emergency disinfectant production.
