China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd (Sinomach) has been pulling out all stops to improve production of medical protection articles and detection devices to support the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP).
CHTC Jiahua Nonwoven Co., Ltd (HTJH) of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, a subsidiary of Sinomach, resumed production in advance and adjusted all production lines to produce material for surgical masks and protective gowns.
The company was able to produce one million flat surgical masks per day by Feb 15.
HTJH has produced 1,535.88 tons of non-woven fabric by Feb 13. In addition, 11 surgical production lines were operational and in a position to produce 1.1 million masks per day.
It is expected that the company will open another five mask lines by the end of February and increase production by 1.6 million masks per day.
Sinomach is also making efforts in innovation-driven projects to improve mask production efficiency.
Its subsidiary Sinomach Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. has initiated a fully automatic mask production line which is estimated to have a daily output of 70,000 to 90,000 masks.
With a simple structure, short adjustment time, stable functions, high automaticity and small size, the production line under development could be easily used by mask producers and help relieve the shortage of masks.
The Guangzhou Robotics Alliance and Sinomach's affiliated enterprises situated in Huangpu District of Guangzhou Development District in south China's Guangdong Province also participated in the development.
Shenyang Academy of Instrumentation Science Co., Ltd. of SINOMACH Academy of Science and Technology Co., Ltd was responsible for developing a new type of fluorescence filter which is a supporting component of nucleic acid detection devices.
The company completed structure design, spectral index settings and a multi-layer film system design on Feb 5 and completed the first fluorescence filter on Feb 8. The production has now been delivered to its buyer for trial use.
