SDIC Makes Great Efforts to Supply Ethanol to Hubei

The largest ethanol supplier in China, SDIC Bio Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of State Development & Investment Corp., Ltd. (SDIC), has made special plans to guarantee medicinal alcohol supplies since the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP).

By Feb 10, SDIC Bio Co., Ltd has already provided 325 tons of ethanol for disinfection to Central China's Hubei Province where the NCP is prevalent and another 200 tons are on the way.

Five ethanol producers affiliated to SDIC Bio Co., Ltd have adjusted product structure and obtained a sanitation license to produce ethanol disinfectant to national standards. So far, daily production of the ethanol disinfectant of the five producers has reached 2,000 tons.

On Feb 11, SDIC Bio Jilin Co., Ltd's 60 tons of ethanol arrived at Wuhan, capital of Hubei. It was the second batch of ethanol provided by the company and was later delivered to more than 100 neighborhoods and over 50 hospitals in the city.

SDIC Guangdong Bio Energy Co., Ltd researched and developed a kind of ethanol hand disinfectant and will make their best efforts to produce the product.

Other subsidiaries of SDIC Bio Jilin Co., Ltd have also contributed to production and transport of the ethanol products.
