DEC Sends Team to Support Welding in Leishanshan Hospital

An 11-member welding team was sent to support further construction of Leishenshan Hospital on Feb 9 by Dongfang Electric (Wuhan) Nuclear Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province.

Although the hospital has already been constructed and has started to receive patients of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the welding of some parts, such as the stainless steel pipes, needed improvement.

The team's mission mainly involves welding of the joints of the oxygen, air cleaning and vacuum pipes in the No. 10 inpatient area. The total length of the three kinds of pipes is more than 300 meters.

The team said that they will complete the welding at the fastest speed and with the highest quality.
