Affected by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, many places have seen panic "hoarding of vegetables", resulting in a short period of surging demand for fresh food, grain, oil, disinfectant and other commodities.

In response, every store of China Resources Vanguard Co. Ltd. (CR Vanguard) has arranged early opening at 7:30 am and more groups of staff to restock and ensure the adequate supply of vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry and eggs.

In order to reduce and avoid going out, many people choose online shopping.

CR Vanguard combines the efforts of stores across the country, to deploy more staff and to make concerted efforts both online and offline.

During the Spring Festival holiday, CR Vanguard did its best to speed up the picking up and distribution of orders from online platforms to meet everyone's demand.

36 distribution centers are fully committed to maintaining inventory

In order to ensure the fresh supply of more than 3,000 stores nationwide during the Spring Festival, the distribution centers of CR Vanguard across the country were specially equipped with on-duty staff and thousands of employees worked on the front line.

It currently has 36 distribution centers across the country, with a daily transportation volume of 2,530 trucks that can carry 22 million boxes. The company's fresh distribution center delivers more than 630 tons of vegetables, 310 tons of fruits and 150 tons of meat per day, ensuring fresh supplies in stores across the country.

Strict disinfection ensures stores are clean

CR Vanguard strictly disinfects and strengthens the epidemic prevention and control measures.

CR Vanguard stores have taken a series of actions, including cleaning and disinfecting all equipment and facilities of the processing room,adding ventilation equipment and extending operating time and increasing the frequency of exposure to fresh air to ensure good ventilation in the market.

The company is also strengthening control of commodities, especially by inspecting poultry, meat and vegetables and actively cooperating with government departments.

It requires employees to follow personal protection guides and wear masks at work. Stores are equipped with isatidis (a traditional Chinese medicine), thermometers, and other treatments for colds, and have increased the supply of brown sugar ginger tea so people can keep warm.

Staff members are asked to go to the hospital immediately if fever, headache, nasal congestion, cough or other physical symptoms occur.

Notices of "wear mask" are set at stores' entrances and special staffers work at the entrance to remind customers to wear masks.

100,000 employees insist on working to provide solid security

At present, an average of over 100,000 employees work each day at the CR Vanguard stores nationwide to ensure people's basic consumption and provide solid security for commodity supply and service requirements.
