China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (CNAF) had provided about 6,024.41 tons of jet fuel to 732 flights to support the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) by Feb 9.
According to the company, about 1.10 million tons of jet fuel was provided to 140,000 flights from Jan 24 to Feb 9.
About 3,962.34 tons of jet fuel went to 599 civil flights in Hubei, of which 2,483.02 tons were offered to 315 flights in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China urgently organized 50 chartered carriers to transport 6,288 medical workers and medical materials to Wuhan where NCP emerged, between Feb 8 and 10.
It was the largest scale medical team transport mission since the outbreak of the epidemic.
So far, 34 medical teams from 11 provinces – Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan and Shaanxi as well as Shanghai and Tianjin, have been dispatched to the front line.
