China State Construction Contributes to Construction of Five NCP Dedicated Hospitals

China Construction First Group Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (China State Construction), has contributed to construction of five hospitals in four cities in the fight against novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP).

Huoshenshan Hospital (Fire God Mountain Hospital)

The company urgently assembled forces to join in the project after receiving the mission.

The 74 technicians expertise in ventilation pipe as well as mechanical and electrical system installation dispatched to the site completed all the air conditioning, mechanical and electrical work within two days.

Leishenshan Hospital (Thunder God Mountain Hospital)

Fifty-six technicians at the Huoshenshan Hospital construction site rushed to help with Leishenshan Hospital construction as soon as they had finished the previous mission.

With cooperation of all the staffs, installation of the ventilation pipes, water supply and drainage system and electrical systems of the 1,300 sq m hospital, including 24 wards and 22 treatment rooms, is now completed.

Xi'an public health center

Construction of the prevention and treatment hospital to combat NCP in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, started on Feb 3.

Led by China State Construction Northwestern Regional Headquarters, the project is also being advanced by China Construction First Building (Group) Corporation Limited Northwest Branch, Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. of First Bureau Group of CSCEC and The First Construction Co., Ltd of China Construction First Group.

More than 200 management staffs and 800 workers were dispatched to the construction and over 60 sets of machinery are being used on the site.

The project includes construction of nursing units and high-voltage transformer rooms as well as material supply.

By Feb 6, hoisting of medical quarantine rooms in the A and B zones as well as waterproof system in C zone had been completed.

Emergency ward project in Xuzhou

Construction of the emergency ward project in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province began on Feb 5. The project is led by China Construction Infrastructure Survey Engineering Design & Construction Group Co., Ltd., and China Construction Municipal Engineering Corporation Limited and Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. of First Bureau Group of CSCEC are responsible for construction.

The project is planned to cover 6,000 to 8,000 sq m and the ward will be able to hold as many as 300 beds.

Renovation of fever clinic of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital

Renovation of the fever clinic of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital, contracted by The Second Construction Co., Ltd of China Construction First Group, began on Feb 4.

The project, with a total building area of 2,600 sq m, is scheduled to be completed within 12 days, by Feb 15. It is expected that six consulting rooms, 14 wards, 26 observation rooms and three medical offices, as well as supporting rooms, will quickly be available.

To date, 239 management staffs and workers are working on the project with 11 large-scale machines. Eleven transport vehicles are working 24 hours a day.
