Dedicated Hospital for Novel Coronavirus Epidemic Now Open for Patients

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, started construction of the Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province, where the novel coronavirus emerged, on Jan 25. The new facility has now been completed.

A dedicated medical institute for the epidemic, the hospital covers 33,900 sq m.

Nearly 700 management staff members and more than 4,000 workers participated in its construction.

Almost a thousand large-scale machinery and transportation vehicles were used to build the facility. Construction of the first box-type structure and the underground pipeline network started on Jan 28.
