China Eastern Transports People and Material as Part of Anti-Coronavirus Battle

China Eastern Air Holding Co. Ltd (China Eastern) has contributed to transportation of medical workers and materials to Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province where the novel coronavirus epidemic started.

Nine chartered flights carrying 1,109 medical staffs from cities such as Xi'an, Shaanxi Province and Taiyuan, Shanxi Province as well as Shanghai, and four flights with 83.6 tons of medical materials like masks, protective goggles and protection suits had been flown by the airline from New York and Los Angeles by Jan 28.
