An independently developed large transport aircraft, the Y-20, flies for the first time on Jan 26, 2013

On Jan 26, 2013, a multi-purpose large transport aircraft developed independently by China, the Y-20, successfully flew for the first time.

It is the largest aircraft developed by China, marking that China is one of the few countries to have successfully developed a 200-ton large aircraft independently.

The Y-20 aircraft is the air force's strategic, iconic and leading asset and can carry out long-distance air transport missions from various materials to people under complex meteorological conditions.

From the formal establishment of the project in 2007 to its final installation in 2016, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. has developed a successful road as China's independent innovator and developer of large aircraft based on the Y-20.
