China succeeds in full system testing of hydrogen and oxygen engine on Jan 25, 1975

On Jan 25, 1975, China's first pre-developed liquid hydrogen and oxygen rocket engine, developed by the first research institute of the seventh aircraft department (now China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation), achieved a complete success in its first trial run.

The trial successfully verified the correctness of the design principle of hydrogen and oxygen engines in China, and marked a major breakthrough in the design and manufacturing of high-performance low-temperature engines. It laid a solid foundation for the development of practical hydrogen and oxygen engines and the approval of the Long March 3 rocket project in China.
