CNCEC Contributes to Indonesia’s Power Supply

Updated: 2020-01-20

Invested and built by China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd (CNCEC), the Kaltim-2 2X125MW coal-fired power plant in Indonesia was completed on Jan 12 after it passed the NDC test and operated stably for 168 hours.

So far, the plant has operated well with emissions of smoke, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide lower than designed and required indexes.

The completion was another milestone of the Kaltim-2 power plant project after its first generation unit went into service.

The project was completed about 80 days ahead of schedule, the fastest among its kind in Kalimantan.

It is expected the plant will drive local economic development in Indonesia and contribute to its people's livelihoods. It will also play a role in the development of the country's new capital.
