Tianjing self-propelled cutter-suction dredger delivered on Jan 19, 2010

The Tianjing self-propelled cutter-suction dredger was delivered to its buyer on Jan 19, 2010.

Jointly built by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) and China Merchants Group, the dredger has the largest installed capacity and the best dredging capacity in Asia and the third globally.

In addition to Tianjing, CCCC has an engineering fleet made up of more than 800 vessels of various types, including more than 100 main dredgers, the largest dredging fleet in the world.

The total storage capacity of the fleet's drag suction dredgers and the total installed power of its cutter suction dredgers rank tops in the world.

Chinese fleet pay their first overseas visit on Jan 19, 1986

Chinese Navy's fleet finished its first overseas visit on Jan 19, 1986.

The Chinese fleet was made up of a 132 guided missile destroyer built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited and the X615 comprehensive replenishment ship built by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.

The fleet set off from Shanghai on Nov 16, 1985, and visited three countries, passing through five sea areas and seven straits. The blue-water journey covered more than 10,000 nautical miles and lasted 65 days.
