J-20 stealth fighter succeeds in its maiden flight on Jan 11, 2011

China's fourth-generation stealth fighter J-20, developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., succeeded on its maiden flight on Jan 11, 2011.  

Later, in November 2016, the J-20 debuted at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai in southern China's Guangdong Province with a twin flight show.

The J-20 also overflew the military parade commemorating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army in July 2017. China became the second country to have an advanced stealth fighter after the United States.

On Sept 28, 2017, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China announced that the J-20 fighter had been commissioned to the military.

World grid technology renovated

Construction of the Zhundong-Southern Anhui Province±1,100 kV ultra-high voltage (UHV) direct current (DC) transmission project started on Jan 11, 2016.

A significant milestone in UHV power transmission construction, the project leveled up the world grid technology as it has the highest voltage class, the largest transmission capacity, the longest transmission distance and the most advanced technology in the world.

A series of key devices was developed to build the line which improved China's grid technology and its international competitiveness in electrical equipment manufacturing.

China National Cotton Reserves Corporation merged into China Grain Reserves Group Ltd. Company on Jan 11, 2017

China National Cotton Reserves Corporation was gratuitously transferred and merged into China Grain Reserves Group Ltd. Company on Jan 11, 2017 with the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, becoming the latter’s wholly-owned subsidiary.

On the same day, a conference was held in Beijing to announce the start of the two central SOEs' reorganization.
