The Shenzhou VII manned spacecraft was launched by a Long March 2F carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China's Gansu Province on Sept 25, 2008.
The spacecraft carried three astronauts — Zhai Zhigang, the commander, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng.
Zhai was responsible for the extravehicular work, which was China's first spacewalk, and Liu assisted him in the orbital module.
