Ren pointed out the United Nations Global Compact is a main platform within the United Nation for docking with enterprises and providing a global platform where enterprises in different countries can exchange ideas and demonstrate sustainable practices. Its Chinese website will be an important carrier for the organization's publicity in China.

SASAC follows President Xi Jinping's important instructions on sustainable development and encourages the central SOEs to fulfill their social responsibilities and set examples in legal and honest business operation, environment protection and resource-saving, and also be the model in building people-oriented and harmonious enterprises.

Ren expressed his hopes that more Chinese enterprises including central SOEs will join in the United Nations Global Compact to actively fulfill their social responsibilities and practice sustainable development.
