China COSCO SHIPPING Group Provides Quality Transportation Service for 2nd CIIE

China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (China COSCO SHIPPING Group) has started transportation service for the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) which will be held from Nov 5 to 10.

As the only international transportation service provider and one of the five Chinese transportation service providers for the event, China COSCO SHIPPING Group aims to offer exhibitors an easier and more efficient transportation experience than that of last year with professional and complete service capacity as well as rich resources.

According to the company, customer service staff of China COSCO SHIPPING Group will compile container packing lists according to the foreign exhibitors' information.

The lists will be transferred to staff members responsible for Chinese customer service, customs business, transportation, storage and the CIIE venue and all proceedings including overseas transportation, customs clearance, port delivery, input and output and delivery to the venue will be gone through with this single list.

Feng Jianhui, head of the exhibition logistics at the venue's operation center, said that "the smooth transportation is owed to China COSCO SHIPPING Group's multiple transportation methods by sea, air and railway."

For example, some exhibits of Vogel's Products BV including a high-end multimedia stand were loaded in the Netherlands on Oct 16 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Oct 19. With tracking carried out by the company, the exhibits reached the venue on Oct 26.

It is the first time Vogel has participated in the event and the company's sales manager said everyone is looking forward to it. The second CIIE will be larger than the first one and the company has already seen excellent and professional service in the first round of the event — the exhibits' transportation and booth design.

One of the first exhibits to arrive in Shanghai, the OROPAN S.p.A bread maker from Italy was also transported by China COSCO SHIPPING Group.

It was the first time the brand set its foot in China.

To ensure that visitors to the exhibition can taste the fresh and delicious bread, a full-journey cold chain transportation plan was made that considered the constant temperature requirement to preserve the crispiness of roasted bread.

The transportation proceedings, including export declaration, goods pick-up, temporary storage as well as binning and consignment, were completed within 24 hours.

Vincenzo Ragone, international sales and marketing manager of OROPAN S.p.A, said the bread is made in a traditional way in Italy and logistics has always been very important in OROPAN S.p.A's business chain.

He added that China COSCO SHIPPING Group has provided a whole end-to-end logistics supply chain solution involving support in customs clearance, storage and import files preparation. It is OROPAN S.p.A's perfect logistics partner.

The second CIIE will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and 64 countries and three international organizations have confirmed their participation.

Exhibits from all around the world are now under transportation to the event venue. China COSCO SHIPPING Group will take full advantage of its internal cooperative service to provide whole-course and professional logistics service to the exhibitors.
