Energy China Group Contributes to Ethiopia's Water Supply

A ceremony to announce the start of construction of a water supply project in Mekelle, Ethiopia was held on Sept 23.

The project is contracted by China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group), and is intended to build a water conservancy system that can supply the city with 124,300 cubic meters of water per day.

The construction is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.

A livelihood project contributing to economic growth in affected areas, it is expected to supply safe water for 600,000 residents in the city and create more than 1,500 jobs for local people.
