Updated: 2019-09-10

The rotation of the continuous beam of the section of the Beijing-Xiongan intercity high-speed railway that passes over the Tianjin-Baoding railway was completed on Aug 27.

The 92.03-kilometer Beijing-Xiongan intercity high-speed railway has five stations — Beijing Daxing, Daxing Airport, Gu'an East, Bazhou North and Xiongan.

Located in Xiongxian county, Xiongan and with a main span of 80 meters, the continuous beam is about 8,900 tons and was rotated by about 62 degrees within 73 minutes.

The rotation was the first achieved by the railway and the first in Xiongan New Area.

The railway will link with other high-speed railways to main cities in China, reducing the travel time between Beijing and the Xiongan New Area to 30 minutes.

The sixth section of the railway is contracted by China Communications Construction Company Limited.
